Summer elegant. In early October it is still 24 degrees during the day, but the evening breeze comes in off the sea – bring something for your shoulders. Linen is very much encouraged.

Questions & answers
Do I need a passport?
Not within the EU – a national ID card is enough.
What will the weather be like?
Mostly sunny, around 24 degrees. Evenings can be cool – a light jacket is a good idea.
Do I need to speak Portuguese?
No. But an “obrigado” or “obrigada” opens a lot of doors.
Can I stay longer?
Absolutely! Lisbon and the coast are at their loveliest in October. We are happy to share tips.
